ADENIUM OBESUM

Adenium obesum, aka 'Desert Rose', gets its name from its rose-like flowers.

It is a popular succulent plant for both indoor and outdoor gardening. Desert rose looks stunning when planted as a perennial (in frost-free areas), but it also makes a wonderful tropical plant for container gardens. It is a great companion plant for cacti and other succulents.

Loved by bonsai enthusiasts as it has a larger trunk, or caudex, these beautiful, drought-tolerant desert rose succulents are native to Africa and the Arabian Peninsula Desert, adapting well to arid or semi-arid climates and can also adapt well to tropical and semi-tropical settings.

All plants are shipped bare root, well packaged, healthy, free of pests & diseases.

Sarcaulon Crassicaule

SARCAULON CRASSICAULE

Sarcaulon Crassicaule hails from Namibia and Republic of South Africa (Northern and western Cape).

It grows in the a bushy and dry semi-desert area usually in rocky places in gravel and on outcrops of weathered quartzite. It will drop it's leaves readily during drought periods and leaf and flower when water is available.

The plant resembles a small tree and is very suitable for bonsai but always an attractive plant. It is relatively easily grown species, very suitable for bonsai.

Seed-grown plants thrive and flower prolifically in cultivation. They require direct sunlight when in full growth, while a filtered exposition is best during the hottest period of summer, when the plants enter in their dormancy phase.

They need to be regularly watered every 6 to 10 days during active growth and producing leaves, occasionally during dormancy. As soon as the foliage starts to show signs of yellowing or withering, water should be withheld.

This one is seed grown from South African seeds.
