All of our plants are seed grown or cutting propagated and true to heirloom variety. All plants are grown with no chemical pesticides or fertilizers. All soil amendments used have veganic, nutrient and mineral rich content. We encourage the re-mineralization and addition of beneficial veganic composts to give beauty and vitality to your plants and prevent soil depletion.

Plants are shipped bare root and well packaged to ensure optimal condition in transit.

Gymnocalycium Damsii v Tucavocense

G. damsii (anisitsii) grows in open areas under the protection of low bushes. It often form large groups and is extremely attractive .Colourful and highly decorative, with characteristic horizontal clear and dark stripes. The clear areas (above the areoles) are pastel-grey-pink while the dark zone (below the areoles) are deep olive-green to brown-purple. Robust clump of cacti. (only 1 of this variety available)

This species is endemic to Mexico, where it occurs in the States of Oaxaca and Puebla (Arias et al. 1997). It is widespread (Mendéz-Larios et al. 2006) and grows at elevations of 700 to 2,400 m asl. It grows on rocky slopes (Pilbeam 1999). It occurs in Tetechera, Cardonal, Mezquital, thorny scrub, Tetechera-Candelillar, and orchards. Beautiful deep fuchsia colored flowers. Rarely available.(only 1 of this variety available)

A very attractive monstrose form of Cereus validus. It forms myriads of sculptural blue shapes with very short black spines and woolly areoles. Excellent for windowsill or dish garden culture.

Mammillaria Plumosa (aka 'Feather Cactus')

This Mammillaria is native to Northeastern Mexico (Coahuila and Nuevo León). It grows to 12 cm tall by 40 cm broad. The clustering spherical stems, 7 cm in diameter, are completely covered in white downy spines. It grows on limestone cliffs in sparse xerophytic shrubland, there is continuing decline due to ongoing collection, but the number of locations probably exceeds ten and the population is not likely to be severely fragmented. The species is illegally collected for the ornamental trade. This one is seed grown in organic / non pesticide manner with all veganic compost.

This cactus is very frost tolerant and it grows much further north, and has smaller flowers which appear along the stem rather than near the tip. Plants are globular or cylindrical, up to 12 inches tall but usually rather less, and between 1 and 3 inches in diameter. Stems remain single or form small clumps of a dozen or so members. Spines are variable in color. Flowers are greenish-brown / rust in color. Very striking! - $6.99 each

A smallish and attractive member of the Agavaceae family, Agave potatorum is native to partial desert areas of Mexico from Puebla south to Oaxa. The specific name "potatorum" has nothing to do with potatoes, it comes from the genitive of the Latin word "potator" meaning 'of the drinkers' in reference to the use of this plant in making alcoholic beverages. Wonderful drought tolerant plant.

This is a unique and rare crested turbinicarpus macrochele ssp macrochele. Turbinicarpus macrochele is a (usually) solitary plant up to 35 mm tall, 4.5 cm in diameter, the stem is partly underground, with a woolly spiny apex.

It is native to southern California and northern Baja California, along a very restricted portion of the coast. Most of its native range is in San Diego County, California, where most of its habitat has already been removed, and much of the remaining habitat is threatened by development, agriculture, and other alterations in its habitat. As a result, it is included on CNPS List 2B.1. This cactus is nearly cylindrical, usually wider than tall, and less than 30 centimeters in height.
